The 2024 Emmy nominees were unveiled on July 17, setting records for streamers and the comedy category.
FX’s award-winning series The Bear scored 23 nods, the most nominations in a single year for a comedy series. (The studio’s limited drama series, Shōgun, earned the most noms overall.) Nominated for 21 awards, Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building brings Selena Gomez her first nod for best actress in a comedy series after getting snubbed in years past. Other nominees include Abbott Elementary (which earned award-winning writer and star Quinta Brunson her first Emmy for acting), Curb Your Enthusiasm, What We Do in the Shadows, Hacks, Palm Royale and Reservation Dogs.

In order to be eligible for the 2024 Emmys, television programming had to air between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.
The 76th Emmy Awards air live on ABC from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 15, starting at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. (The host has yet to be named.) The Creative Arts ceremonies, where a majority of the Emmy trophies are handed out, are set for Saturday, Sept. 7, and Sunday, Sept. 8.
