D23 is underway, and the House of Mouse kicked off day one with a starry panel featuring Moana stars Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson and news on upcoming releases from Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios and 20th Century Studios.
There’s plenty of merch for Disney devotees to collect, too. At the D23 marketplace, attendees are getting a first look at exclusive new merchandise inspired by Disney Heroes & Villains line, Pixar’s Up, Marvel’s Iron Man and Captain America, Star Wars and more. Fans who can’t make it to the expo can get a sneak peek at the merch right now before it arrives online at the Disney Store on Monday, Aug. 12 at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET.

The new drops also include products that commemorate the 65th and 75th anniversaries of Mary Poppins and The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad anthology, respectively, alongside collectibles, home goods, clothing, accessories and decor for Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, Disney’s and more limited-edition treats.
Just a few of the park-ready pieces include ear headbands inspired by Mary Poppins and Maleficent; tradeable pins featuring the Haunted Mansion ride, The Little Mermaid, Fantasia, Disney Imagineering designs and more; clothing designed by Her Universe founder (and Ahsoka voice actress) Ashley Eckstein and artist Ashley Taylor; and others.

Tens of thousands of Disney devotees are taking over the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. all weekend to soak up presentations, entertainment, immersive experiences, product launch news, shopping and more. The announcements included new details on Toy Story 5, Moana 2, an Inside Out TV series titled Dream Productions and third Avatar film, Avatar: Fire and Ash.
