Anne Chaisson will step down as the executive director of HamptonsFilm, the non-profit behind the annual Hamptons International Film Festival.
Chaisson has served as the executive director of the nonprofit since 2012. During her tenure, the fest expanded from five to 11 days, adding several new awards and honors and became a stop for awards season hopefuls.
Randy Mastro, HamptonsFilm board chairman, will appoint a subcommittee to find a new executive director. The selection will come after this year’s Hamptons International Film Festival, running Oct. 4 to 14.
Artistic director David Nugent and the rest of the programming team will remain in place.
“I’m so proud of the work we’ve done together, transforming HamptonsFilm from a single annual event into a vibrant year-round non-profit organization,” said Chaisson. “My tenure at HamptonsFilm has been one of the most fulfilling of my career, and the challenge to grow a non-profit in such extraordinary times is something I will forever be thankful to have taken part. I feel I have accomplished what I set out to do, and I am ready for the next chapter.”
